Yeah, it'd probably beat a 5.0 with twin turbos on it too.
Lesse...apples/oranges...oranges/apples...
ok! OK! I got it, let's compare a twin turbo, nitrous injected, mid
nineties ZX300, ported, polished, full race cam, open headers and
a...oh, say...a '73 Chevy Impala with four bent pushrods and a spun main
bearing...? How would that come out? Yeah, I guess you're
right...displacement has no bearing on it...

The original quote, from the guy who kicked Ferrari's *** on a
regular basis, was more along the lines of:
"All else being equal, there is no substitute for cubic inches"
As for smoking a 5.0 Mustang, there are several levels of tune
for that engine. Some of them wouldn't let the TSi get close
enough to see if there is a rear license plate. With a twin
turbo in the mucking fustang, it probably couldn't even get
close enough to recognize it as a mustang.

"no substitute for cubic inches" That's quote I grew up with, so my
Jeep has 400" and my Seven has 462". Before those changes I could say I
had the fastest V6, or 312" Ford, but I was always beat by someone with
a mountain motor, that would come to town (Del Mar, California) to get
me.
