I don't recall an XJ Cherokee ever having an AMC 20. More than likely it was a
35.

Chrysler? It was f*cked up from the get-go...by the company that stopped making
the CJ. :-)
At any rate, an AMC 20 never was installed on an XJ Cherokee AFAIK. Unless of
course they made the AMC 20 with a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern.
