it is a wire issue and you need to run new ones from the radio to the speaker
to save money factory harnes is a few bucs verses wire from walmart
there is splices in the door harness that break

I began to run into lots of splices/connectors when I was planning to pull a
new wire. I suspected that the wire had failed at the door "flex" point -
probably still is the case. I had thought that the wiring harness would be too
expensive from the Dealer, and have been watching the U-Wrench-It lot for an
XJ. Your suggestion that I at least check the dealer's price is a good one.
