ground...the limitations he posted had a max BODY lift of 3", not total lift.

I don't even think it's relevant, as long as his bumper is 31" or less from

Explain to them that an SOA lift is not the same as a body lift.

A 3" body lift on a wrangler is dangerous, anyway, especially in an
accident.

Worked for me over an alleged bad track rod end and an alleged bad propshaft
bracket mounting; I told them if they didn't admit they were wrong and
apologise for failing it I would appeal to the Public Carriage Office. And
after a bit of huffing and puffing I got my apology and a pass. These guys
were cowboys trying to fail folks and get extra money by doing unnecessary
work to "fix" it .. never went back.
