Re: Cal's YJ: First ride!
Now THAT would be sweet. Maybe a Dynatrac Roc 60, huh?
For liability reasons they're not inclined to do anything that aids the
modification of suspension components, etc. Hell, DC even got sued a few
years ago by some guys estate because a home made bumper on an old AMC-era
CJ fell off on the freeway. Apparently this poor guy was killed when he hit
the junk bumper laying on the highway. DC was charged with negligence in the
design of the old Jeep because it was so easy to add a bumper to the thing,
etc. (After they bought out AMC, DC became liable for all of the old
products.) The jury sided with DC, but it probably cost them $1m in legal
fees to defend the case. No one sued the poor idiot who made the bumper,
probably didn't have a pot to....well, you know.

Better yet, under UK law the person bringing an unsuccessful suit has to pay
the other sides legal fees. Being a scum-sucking trial lawyer himself, our
esteemed former President Clinton vetoed this type of law here in the
States. The USA, where the biggest & best lawyers annuity is the law!
