Re: 4 banger starter/electrical issues
Nope!
Solenoid is part of the starter ( I wish it was the external ford type)
so when I replaced the starter with the new one, the solenoid was
replaced as well.

What about the small one on the firewall where the 1st red battery cable
stops at? If you have that, it is for sure suspect for a burn and weld
contact...

What about the small one on the firewall where the 1st red battery cable
stops at? If you have that, it is for sure suspect for a burn and weld

Re: 4 banger starter/electrical issues
I had to look too, turns out they changed it to a little relay like
we would use for auxiliary lights:

Them things are cheap...he ought to change it too. They're only rated
at 30 amps...I bet he didn't do it any good when the started melted
down.
