Them things are cheap...he ought to change it too. They're only rated
at 30 amps...I bet he didn't do it any good when the started melted
down.

That's the one I am thinking about.
If the starter jammed and smoked, it 'sure' didn't do good things for
that relay. That relay is now suspect for an arc and weld which will
cook the new starter just as fast.

I don't think my TJ has that one! Just the relay in the PCM box on the
passenger side fender. That one I replaced!
