An interesting point,when you remove the front grill ,also remove the plastic that is screwed with the once only screws to the top of the rad.
Once thats off there is a 1/2 gap 20 in wide and 22 in deep for a screen to slide down in front of the rad,wind should not damage this one

 

I found its just easier to totally remove the front grill so that it can be done properly. The best of the bargain methods is to glue ziptie stick pads to the back of the grill then fasten expanded metal using the zip ties. The ziptie stickpads can be bought at homehardware. Be sure to use a product like Gorilla glue to glue them on. Do not depend on the self adhesive strip on the back of the pad.

 

this was proper when you remove the front grill and also remove the plasic across the rad there is room to slide a framed screen right down to the bottom ,then it can be removed and cleaned once in a blue moon(ther is room for 18x21x 1/2 thick

Got into town yesterday and consulted with Skippy at Canadian Tire and I'm sad to say Cdn Tire no longer stocks the Fia grill screen. I checked their website and found of list of retailers for their products, but had no luck (as you likely did) finding any that listed the screen on their online catalogues. I'll check at a couple of (their listed) local retailers next time I'm into the big city see if they still have some on the back shelf.

 

I have the Drake Off Road Billet Aluminum Grille Inserts installed in my JK (since 2010) and recently I decided to do something to reduce the consume.
I just added some Duck Tape on top of my inserts and now my JK is drinking around 25-30% less than before, driving in downtown. I didn't try the highway yet to check the result above 60km/h. I am still paying a lot of attention to the temperature (totally normal until this point) but until now I am very happy with this solution.
That's not the most beautiful thing that I know but it's working pretty well and the tape will be removed on April, causing no damage to the painting.

That exactly what I did also... A buddy of mine had all the self stick pads fall off. Mine have stayed perfect thanks to the Gorilla glue. My mesh is black "snow fence" or "garden fence" from Home Depot. Installed it on a 45 degree angle. Very low cost solution.

I want to bring this thread back up again, I tried to get a grill installed into my 2013 jeep with no luck so far. So now I got 4 holes in my front cover i don't need. Thinking about going with the plastic do it yourself gutter guard idea. Does anyone have any good instructions or tips on how to do this?
