screen behind the grill

Gutter Protection
One way would be to pull the rad and clean it or take a vac with a brush tip and lightly vac it . Once you get clean you can get screen and mount it behind the grill so you don't have that problem again.

Re: screen behind the grill
I made mine using the gutter guard to can buy in a 25' roll, (using a chunk donated to me by Nicker22),
turned and angle cut from the roll, (again, a cool trick suggested by Nicker22). Using Gorilla Glue, I found it needed to set up overnight to dry completely. It may have a shorter drying time (2-4 hours) but I gave it over night.

Re: screen behind the grill
I'm also looking after doing this, went to a lot of places but didn't found yet the 'right' material for the grill. Well found some but nobody was able to tell me if it was steel or aluminium.

When I saw you I could swear that you had inserts, am I wrong ? I was about to ask where you got them and for what price (including shipping).

So I will be fixing it soon enough. Apparently the insert i had needed 2 holes that the 2013 model apparently doesn't have.
The material I am using is a vynal outdoor type material for gutter guard. I can text you a picture of the supplies i have in about an hour or two, the mounting bases were the biggest pain in the butt to find. I think getting a metal material will just be a waste because it will rust, using modular peices the vynal is tough and if something super heavy duty comes through it (unliky..) then you can replace it because it's modular.
Edit:
These are the parts I have right now, i still need glue for the mounts to help hold them in place but other then that i have everything. Aluminum is great i guess, but I personally don't like the idea simply because if it tears or rips on the trail there's a chance it could scratch something or something else. But that's just my opinion!

Re: screen behind the grill
the insert didn't fit right! It ended up warping my front fairing! So I removed it went back to Just Jeeps threw my hands up in the air, they tried to fit it but it wouldn't go properly and then they gave me my money back now it's open again.
So I will be fixing it soon enough. Apparently the insert i had needed 2 holes that the 2013 model apparently doesn't have.

Re: screen behind the grill
It's all upto what you'd like to do for sure, it's actually pretty tough stuff. Especially for me, I don't have proper tools to cut metal mesh properly anyways. Would take me forever to cut it with side cutters. I am fairly confident it will be able to with stand trees rocks and leafs. I mean there built to go on rain gutters, Im sure they do ok in hail.
