check out the forum

from what i have read, the 4 cyl get about the same mileage as the 6 cyl but the 6 has way more power and torque!
I am getting approx 16 mpg in town and 20 -21 on the hwy (6cyl). about 300 km per tank, but my tank is only 15 gal US. not much of a range! looking at the tank mod!

I wud suggest if your going to get a lift go for the 4" this way you will if you decide to put 33's or even 35's they will fit without any rubbing and go for offset rims (normal is 3.75 offset) so as not to have them hitting your undercarriage when u make a turn.

Re: Gas Milage for the 4l
There has been so many posts on this subject - It all depends on how you drive, What kind of equipment is on it? How many people are usually inside? Do you run over 95 km (55mph)? Do yu run on the open road at 140km then drop down to 100 then back up to 140km? I had mine stock at one time same year as yours and I am sure I was just over 20 mpg but now more like 15 mpg and I don't jackrabbit start or do over 100 km on the open road..remember its got the aerodynamics of a brick. If one wants great mileage one does NOT buy a jeep.
