That works for me on our Cherokee. The wheel covers the light
perfectly.

indicator lights are NEVER on the dimmer circuit. Driving down the road at
night with no streetlights, the brightest things in the dash are the damned
indicator lights for the cruise and the high beams - they are nearly
blinding they are so bright. On my old YJ, it was so bad that I
disassembled the dash and pit a piece of tape with a tiny little hole over
the light.

On every car I've driven the high beam indicator has been hidden
from view, behind the steering wheel ring, having to hunch down to look
between the spooks to see it.
