XJ Failed Emissions Test

Re: XJ Failed Emissions Test-"It's Baaaaack!"
On at least a 96 and 99 xj's I've owned there's a little pump like thing on
the firewall to the right of the engine. If you put your hand on it with the
engine running you should hear/feel it do a thump thump type thing. It pulls
a vacuum on the fuel tank. So if there's a bad rubber line anywhere around
it that may be your problem. Harbor Freight has a code scanner that will
read and clear codes for $39.
