Wrangler soft-top
I'm taking a 2000 Wrangler on a nine-hour drive in a couple of weeks.
I've never taken it more than 200 miles before with the soft-top on,
and I almost went insane that time... are there any simple things I can
do (without spending a crapload of money, of course) to make the trip a
little more bearable? Do earplugs help? Or can I do something to the
top to make it flap around less?

Re: Wrangler soft-top
Close all your windows and set your fresh-air vent or A/C (not recirculate)
to the third or fourth fan position, it will "inflate" the top and cut down
on the flapping. Less so if you have half-doors. I wear earplugs on the
freeway because my tires are so loud.

Re: Wrangler soft-top
I already tried putting a 96 Dodge coupe model on top of the Jeep to
keep the top from flapping, but it didn't really work - the Neon fell
off and hit some people, $3000 right down the drain, not to mention the
rising insurance and the lawsuits. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
