Yup, Ford and Holley use to sell neoprene needle seats for their
higher pressure mechanical pumps pressures of the Muscle cars of the
time. If your buying gloves and working alcohol, don't use neoprene:

Looks like my Holley kit is still using it:

AvGas for my Hot Rods: http://www.----------.com/pismo.htm and

I just put a new weber on my 89 YJ. Works great, but seems to be running a
little rich. I'll need to tinker with it a bit, got the bogs to go away
with some tuning, but am completely satisfied. I'll be ordering the jet
kit for it soon, but all the jets are easily accessable. Right in front of
your face. I'd buy another one if I had a choice. The jeep has never run
better. If you do replace it, you'll want to consult this website and
othere.....
http://home.sprynet.com/~dale02/list.htm
You'll also want to perform the "Nutter Bypass"
I don't have the link for it, don't know why I didn't save it. But I do
have the page downloaded. There are others who have supplied the link
before......BILL OR MIKE?

I have the 2100 (Autolite) but not on a 258. It sits on top of the
original 302 in my Bronco and has been there since June of 1971. I
think, if nothing else, it's a testament to the build quality of the carb.
