I don't know, but I think that I'd want to have the cases out (or, the
body off of) of the Jeep before trying. The floating caps are probably
just crimped on, so you could probably just tear them off and press on a
length of hose, but there's not a lot of working room between the top of
the output shaft and the body floor. Especially when it doesn't go as
planned and gets much much more complicated than you'd originally thought.

I added a 4th tube on mine for the tranny.
I just pulled out that stupid button vent and pressed a piece of steel
gas line in to make a nipple for the hose.

I added a 4th tube on mine for the tranny.
I just pulled out that stupid button vent and pressed a piece of steel
gas line in to make a nipple for the hose.

No transmission shares a vent with anything on any Jeep I have ever seen
or heard of.
They both need a separate vent each. They are separate units and don't
share oil either. The trannys just plain don't have a vent hose. The
later t-cases do have a vent hose.

No transmission shares a vent with anything on any Jeep I have ever seen
