Hey Bill....how would this be caused???
how do they become damaged??
would/could it be something that I did??
it's just that going into the dealer is getting to feel like going to the
principals office...

Hi Jeff,
It's usually pilot error, short people while pushing the shift
lever forward, are pushed back off the clutch pedal, too and don't fully
disengage the clutch. Or maybe you didn't completely engage third gear
and under full power it popped out, braking the syncros blocks.
