Re: Tranny problem on 1995 Grand Cherokee
My 97 Grand Cherokee did this once and it was the throttle position
sensor that was bad, I almost had the tranny rebuilt but I ran into a
wise mechanic. We changed the sensor out in about 5 minutes and voila
problem solved. ( this is in reference the tranny problem)
With mine it never showed up in diagnostics but we attributed it to
being an intermitant fault.

The error codes can be displayed by using the on-off-on key sequence.
The codes for the engine are the check engine light and the
transmission codes are displayed on the Overdrive LED. Check prior
