It's commonly known by engine installers and those that have
changed headers and couldn't resist firing their hot rod to hear what it
sounded like without headers, that in that instant the engine runs an
exhaust valve temperature of two thousand degrees combustion, then
instantly cooled under atmosphere pressure, is warped. That knowledge
only cost me a week in 1962 on my 406" Ford Factor Experimental.

Re: Stupid Exhaust
It's commonly known by engine installers and those that have
changed headers and couldn't resist firing their hot rod to hear what it
sounded like without headers, that in that instant the engine runs an
exhaust valve temperature of two thousand degrees combustion, then
instantly cooled under atmosphere pressure, is warped. That knowledge
only cost me a week in 1962 on my 406" Ford Factor Experimental.
