He went to Joshua Tree, that's in Mojave desert next to Death
Valley, Many die if they just stop on a pave road in a hundred and
thirty degrees.

For pete's sake Bill, no doubt people die under the circumstances
you've described. But the road is paved -- and someone paved
it. Before that, a bunch of brave souls crossed it when there was no
road at all. Our troops spend all day, day after day, working their
butts off in worse conditions.

This kind of F.U.D. (Fear, uncertainty, and doubt) exemplifies why our
country is in the pickle that it is in. The alternative, as always, is
not to do it. Sit in a climate controlled, hermetically sealed box and
turn into a useless p*ssy. Less F.U.D. more adventure! I, for one, do
not wish in the slightest to be protected from my own stupidity. Much
less do I like to be separated from my stupidity by statute. Seat
belt and helmet laws, hot coffee and cigarette warning labels? What's
next, my dear Comrade?
