Actually still looking for the source, found the darned neoprene mounts
on the Ranchos were loose *again*. Exhaust pipe has no new shinys.
Very mild clunking sound on heavy bumps.
Still, prefer the higher ground clearance of the ZJ over the latest
models, never did like the WJ--it always looked like someone
overinflated a ZJ.

That sounds like the shaft or possibly a cracked antisway U clamp.

The only thing I was tempted to do was to swap out for a 95 with the
rear flipper glass and 4 wheel disc brakes. That and the 5.9 V8 :)
Every once in a while you can find them for a reasonable price.

The track bar bushings LOOK ok, but they are as far as I know the
originals. The front ones were all just replaced, probably shoulda done
the rears.

worlds best 4wd goodies.

joint is.

That's the problem with bushings. They might look fine but be loose.
Same with suspension bits. I had a pop on the front that turned out
to be a "somewhat loose" lower track arm bolt. Silly thing looked ok
but needed to be retorqued to 130 ft lbs.
