Re: Wrangler & antilock brakes
Gee Earle, you must be really old. By the time I managed to
sneak a set of car keys, all of the cars had wheels.
Seriously, the first time you drive on snot ice didn't have
nearly the pucker factor as the first time you got too brave
and tried to stop on snotslick ice. Thank goodness where I
grew up, the roads had the decency to be so damned cold the
ice wasn't nearly as slippery as it tends to get at temps
between 25 to 40 degrees.

Re: Wrangler & antilock brakes
?
If you mean front wheel drive, oh ya I remember for sure. It was
totally insane going from a full sized station wagon to an Austin Mini.
Damn, did I ever have fun with that thing in snow and ice.
Front wheel drives were few and far between then. Honda Civics and my
neighbor (doctor) bought an Olds Tornado FWD after watching me make it
home up our big hill in the Mini every storm. No more leaving the car
at the bottom of the street and walking for him...
