Neither does the M5 post a sub-12. And even with the V10, the poor M5
sucks second best to a mere V8 in the E55 AMG, by 0.2 seconds in the
quarter mile [12.6 vs 12.4] and 1.2 mph--indicating that the Merc
makes greater horsepower. Same 1/4 time as the Audi S6 altho just a
few more mph in the quarter. And according to Motor Trend, your
precious M5 sucks second place behind a stock C06 Corvette which also
runs 12.4 in the quarter and beats the M5 by just over 2mph at that
same distance. Of course this *is* Motor Trend, so they might be
using a slighly lower bull-feces rating in their fuel, possibly
accounting for your numbers being so much "better".

Re: Possible Trolls?
Again, my argument isn't for the 1/4 mile as the lone benchmark. It's for
overall ...including handling, ride-comfort, etc. Like I said, given the
fact it ranks high in all other areas, it's 1/4 is pretty impressive.
With that said ...would you take a Vette 350 or an M5?
