That's probably what they are worth, but check the price of those
aluminum synchros sometime - that was the deciding moment when I
originally thought about rebuilding my BA 10/5 (before I learned
better anyway).

Hi Will,
They are brass in every trans I've had apart, of course you're
going to have to buy a small parts kit. The french are weird when it
comes to maintaining a parts supply, like they won't allow Renault
replacement parts to be shipped to the U.S.of A. and the parts reflect
that, at two hundred bucks for a sync block:
http://www.drivetrain.com/pugojeepBA_10.html That's all right, f**k the
frogs. Americans should buy American, where the rock crusher Borg Warner
Super T-10's sync ring is still ten bucks:

It surprised the heck out of me too, but the BA 10/5 uses aluminum
cones for the synchros. All I had ever seen were yellow metal until I
ran into these. By the time you figured out the prices for the soft
parts like synchros and bearings it was already cheaper to swap it out
for an AX 15 (or a compatible BW - the AX 15 was available) and that
didn't include any hard parts.
