Re: More VW Diesel Knee-Slappers
Jeez guys, I never realised you were all such rabid environmentalists. Hell,
this is a jeep group right ? Are you all planning on selling up and moving
closer to work so you don't consume a gallon of oil more than you have to,
and cutting back on the stuff you buy so there are less polluting truck
journeys made ? No, I thought not.

Re: More VW Diesel Knee-Slappers
Jerry is the one who apparently detestes everything to do with ANYTHING
powered by diesel, and it consistantly shows by his posts. I posted the link
to that marine diesel to show what CAN be done, but Jerry simply classes it
as one and the same with every 20+ year old, badly maintained oil burner out
on the highway. You simply do not install unreliable, uneconomic power
plants in 100,000 ton ships. its a whole different ball game, if only people
would realise it. I think Susan did, by the tone of her post, and she dint
once mention diesel cars. (but I do confess mild curiosity as to what she
drives)

OK, you're almost there... Get rid of the "Nearly" in that sentence
and you'll be one step closer. I'm glad I could assist you through
this learning process! :-)

I don't live in California, thank God. But I can almost smell your
fumes all the way over here on the east coast. Do us all a favor and
trade your hunk o' junk in on a real vehicle. Spend your "grand" as
part of a down-payment on something that doesn't put out such stanky
smells. Think of the kids. You don't want them growing up with
black-lung and stuff like that just because you're selfish and wanna
get 50mpg in your pollution-spewing rattle-trap! As you get older,
you'll understand stuff like this better and learn to think of other
people besides just yourself, son. :-)
