Re: More VW Diesel Knee-Slappers

Then, of course, there's the infamous issue with post-79 VW diesels where if
you didn't torque the oil filter down with a capwrench to 50 ft lbs it was
likely to blow the filter seal and dump all the oil before you could shut
the stupid thing off. Replaced numerous engines for do-it-yourselfers who
innocently thought they could just change their own oil & filter in the
driveway. $2k later they had learned , NO YOU CAN'T!

Not as much as being seen in a Rabbit diesel! ;-)

Now, now Susan, we're just talking about diesels in cars. Diesels are just
fine in trucks...even if they do smoke & smell.

I just laid out the entire ugly story of the Rabbit diesel. Ask any VW tech
from the era and they'll substantiate anything I've said. In fact, just wait
and you'll be able to experience a plethora of diesel technology land mines
lurking right inside that little clatterbox you've got there.

> You have gone one step further and

Nope, I said you'd make another fellow Rabbit diesel driver proud. The fact
that she is a pinko traitor, well, if the shoe fits. (Hybrid drivers will be
happy to know they're in the same company as Ariana the Flake Huffington,
Michael Moore, etc.)

I'm flattered to be compared with such an intelligent and sure footed
animal.

Not if you're planning on driving that Rabbit diesel over jhere. The Bar-D
was hit by a massive forest fire in '02. One whiff of that diesel smoke and
Cy's likely to turn a fire hose on you! (Call when you get to town!)
