Is it like the one on my ZJ. There is a tiny mercury tilt switch in there.

Is it like the one on my ZJ. There is a tiny mercury tilt switch in there.

yes well it doesn't much matter if the bulb is lit while you're crawling
up a hill, only that it turns off when parked for the night.

Take it to a self-serve car wash and do an engine compartment cleaning, making
sure to get the underside of the hood, or better yet go through a deep water
crossing so water is splashed up inside the hood. You'll never have a problem
with that halogen bulb staying on again...then of course, it will always be
off... :-)
