You're right, that's exactly what it sounds like.

Yeah, but that's the way things go now. There's no accountability for being
stupid. Just file a lawsuit against the ones with the deep pockets, and you get
paid for being an idiot and endangering other people because the company doesn't
want the bad publicity.

Yeah, but that's the way things go now. There's no accountability for being

Exactly. I've seen accelerator pedals hang on the edge of the floor mat after
being floored. There are several other possibilities also. Foot slipped off
the brake and on to the accelerator, or hitting both pedals at the same time.
If they realize it, it's not a big deal. If they panic and push harder,
thinking they're on the brake, ---- hits the fan.
Last year an old guy killed a bunch of folks in California just this way.
