Re: Jeep VS others
Very interesting sites, although I don't remember a 462" Lincoln! (And I was
constantly replacing drive ***** in that damn McCullough blower - mine was
red instead of gray - but I guess it was worth it.)
And speaking of Corvette traction - or the lack thereof: I've got an '02 Z06
that would seemingly fly if it could just get a bite. It's exceptionally
easy to loose traction when just running along in second gear at pretty low
speeds and suddenly mashing on it. I suppose a change of tire brands might
help but I don't hit the strips anymore anyhow.

Re: Jeep VS others
Hi Jack,
The 462" is the old 430" block for 1968 and '69 Lincoln, at the
same time they also used the new 460" (429" block) still used by Ford.
My supercharger worked flawlessly, but the three hundred rated
horsepower, actually four hundred, wasn't quick enough.
Your center of gravity is too low to get launch traction, you may
hear in this video how he completely gets out of it between shifts:
http://www.----------.com/Corvette9-9-143.mpa (no streaming) I imagine
if you power shifted it like an old muscle car it's instantly switch
directions, but you may pull a G on turns, stock, I'd say you're tires
are as good as you can use.
