Re: Jeep stuck in Part Time 4WD
It is just a switch or the linkage is slightly out of adjustment. Both
are relatively 'easy' fixes.
My bet is the linkage is unused and a little stiff.
Never go back to the Fool that gave you the total BS story about the
crank sensor. The crank sensors do fail, but they are located outside
the top corner of the bell housing and under the distributor cap.
Nothing needs dropping, nor is it slightly related to the 4x4 light
switch, he is a rip off artist or has no clue in the world!

Re: Jeep stuck in Part Time 4WD
I stand behind everything I wrote there, it was well documented via
replies from: http://www.drivetraindirect.com/ the only manufacturer
that would dare make ABS for the Dana 44 at the time, and they ran the
sensor off the ring gear like their Dana 60, which is like your previous
Ford and maybe still in that place if you look. Dean of this group was
the only person that was running a home made ABS for his 44, I wish I
had saved those pictures. So go back to blaming our president for the
storm and everything.
