Re: Jeep Liberty recalled

Considering it's coming from a company that calls 12k miles the MAX life
on a rotor warranty-wise, I'd say 40k on one of their ball joints is
like winning the lottery. (can you tell I'm perturbed about the rotor
thing?)

Before she signs on the dotted line take one home for the night (any
reasonable dealer will do this if you are serious about the car).
Spend at least an hour in the seats and see if you are still
comfortable. That is the one consistent complaint that I have heard
and from the few of the first models I drove it was pretty apparent.
They sit something akin to a church pew...without the cushions. Great
for 10-20minutes but after that they are horrible. Same complaint
from many owners. Otherwise, if the seats are good for you then enjoy
the truck. I never did check to see if they updated the seats as time
went on. (Btw, it didn't matter if they were cloth or leather, they
were equally horrid)

They should be using an updated part to replace the flawed ones.

Re: Jeep Liberty recalled

you can translate "loss of control" as meaning the wheel fell off.
Do not mistake the Liberty as being a Jeep. No moreJeeps were
designed/built after American Motor's designs. The last one in production
is the wrangler, and even it has been compromised in various ways, but not
to the complete detriment of the original design. Still, if you like
t? )the liberty? Whynot?

Re: Jeep Liberty recalled

Hi John,
One unbelievable compromise done to AMC's engineered Wrangler
design, was to change the rear end to a "C" clip axles. What were they
thinking? http://www.----------.com/dana35c
