Re: Help!!!!!!
It would help if you would leave the old text in place when you are
posting. This isn't a chat room. And when posting, try posting more
than one or two lines.
When you boost it, does the engine turn over full speed?
Does the engine fire at ALL when it is turning over full speed?
I still go for ignition, tied to the CPS, but not getting enough detail
from you to rule out fuel problems.
If you turn the key on but not to start, can you hear the fuel pump?
What DOES display when you turn the key on, off, on, off, on and then
stop?
If you get it running, does it run really really well, or does it seem
to have no power? Or does it run at full speed but stumble and miss a
lot?

Hi Lon,
> When you boost it, does the engine turn over full speed?
I had the battery tested and it works fine. The engine does turn over full
speed even without boosting it.
If I try and boost it it doesn't start anyway.
> Does the engine fire at ALL when it is turning over full speed?
No.
> If you turn the key on but not to start, can you hear the fuel pump?
Yes.
> What DOES display when you turn the key on, off, on, off, on and then

The same thing as if I would be turning it on once... i.e. mileage etc.
> If you get it running, does it run really really well, or does it seem to
> have no power? Or does it run at full speed but stumble and miss a lot?
I got it running by push starting it. Once it was running it was going fine
as usual.
I replaced the following (they were due anyways) without results:
spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cup and rotor.
One more note, when I brought the jeep home after push starting it I tried
restarting it several times and it worked
every single time. After I left it for a few hours it didn'd start anymore.

When the fuel pump check valve goes bad, the car won't start until the
fuel line is refilled. To check this, turn on the ignition without
hitting the starter for about 5 seconds. Turn the ignition off and
repeat two or three times before starting.
