Re: gas tank sender and guage - question
By the way, I bought my Autometer gauges from Summit Racing. I bought fuel,
temp, oil, volt and clock, and the total savings for these five over the "Jeep" catalogs (4wd.com, etc), was almost enough to buy an Autometer Tri-Alert, which gave me "idiot lights" on oil, temp and fuel. I had to return the clock twice to get one that worked right, and Summit was fantastic - no questions asked, and the refunded my return shipping both times. You can see pics of my new dash with these gauges at: http://forums.cj-8.com/showthread.php?t=8956 "Jeff Scherb" <jscherb@stny.rr.com> wrote in message news:MU3Bd.81305$Uf.14250@twister.nyroc.rr.com... > Autometer 2515 matches the stock resistance. > > "HomeBrewer" <85cj7XXX@cox.net> wrote in message > news:33jsnnF41vm3sU1@individual.net... >> >I just installed a new 21-gallon tank and an Autometer fuel gauge. Re: gas tank sender and guage - question
It tells you what the stock resistance and voltages are so you can match
the aftermarket gauges to them. For instance you cannot put a 12 volt gas gauge in unless you also change the temperature gauge to 12 volts because the temp gets it's power feed from the stock 5 volt fuel gauge.
