I pulled mine out when I found a thin film of dust on the inside surface of
the intake tube between the airbox and the throttle body.

I have a T5 with a modified 304, 4.56 gears, 36x12.5 tires right now and I
can run 70-80 mph with no problem. I haven't clocked it, but I think it's at
~2900 rpm in 5th at 60 mph.

see specs above....I have had mine at 70 mph in 4th and it was ove 3k rpm.
Going to 5th put me a little below 3k rpm.
** my results are not scientific..it is based on my bad memory and biased
judgement. I could have been going downhill in a hurricane ivan.
