I'll bet they do.
I used to commute to California's Bay Area in my Cobra, it was always fun
coming home but when you drive a clutch it's just second nature.
I'm looking back and I'll guess that 90% of my rigs have been standards.
I made my daughters learn to drive in a standard, now they won't drive
anything else.

Re: A cheap chance to repent! '98 Vette For Sale

The Vette can be had with a real transmission.

However, for most owners, an automatic is faster since not that many
owners know how to speed shift properly.

I was expecting a 3 inch lift given where it is being advertised.

Re: A cheap chance to repent! '98 Vette For Sale

Yeah, all those woosie Formula 1 cars, not many sticks amongst them.
Guess them limp wristed F1 drivers can't handle real transmissions.
Just because they can stop just about as fast from 150 as the typical
passenger car does when hitting a brick wall....

OK, so they are really not automatics as in slush boxes, just
electromechanical whizzbangs that can shift faster than any human ever
could.

At least it isn't a Chevvie 2 speed automatic and the Blue Flame 6 like
the original Corvette, although I'd not expect *that* model to go for a
lousy 18K.
