Well THAT is a generalization.
It's the manufacturers, now a days the manufacturers build the autos and you
ahve to look like hell to find a standard.

If I didn't have a bad left hind leg, I'd still be driving a clutch.

If you lived in Europe, you'd have to look like hell to find an automatic,
and it would probably be a Mercedes. Even the taxis have manual shift.
They really work it driving in heavy traffic too.

I'll bet they do.
I used to commute to California's Bay Area in my Cobra, it was always fun
coming home but when you drive a clutch it's just second nature.
I'm looking back and I'll guess that 90% of my rigs have been standards.
I made my daughters learn to drive in a standard, now they won't drive
anything else.
