You have verified your alternator battery's terminal is connected
to the battery and the stator is being tickle. You need another new
alternator.

Take it back because it's not good now.
On a GM the Delco alternator like you have, the number two would
turn off the idiot light.

On a GM the Delco alternator like you have, the number two would
turn off the idiot light.
