Re: Can I PLEASE run 32's on my unlifted TJ?
Thanks for the reply!
Actually, it's not for the looks at all. All I meant with the no rockcrawling
comment was that I am not a guy out there flexing my suspension to it's limits
all the time. Where I wheel it's less about flexing and more about traction
(western Oregon).... I regeared the TJ to 4.10, and put Tru-traks front and
rear, because someday I want to build this thing up some, when I can afford to
retire it to "toy" status. I didn't want to have to regear again, and it had
the stock 3.07's when I bought it used which was unworkable for me. Regearing
to anything other than 4.10 made no sense...
However, 4.10 is pretty low with 31's even, so if 32's would work in scenarios
OTHER than max flex, that'd be great. When I do lift it I want to just do it
right, and that cannot happen for a while.
Sounds like 32's won't work, though. 'S OK. 31's will be fine for now.
Thanks again!

You are saying pucks for a body lift or coil spacers?

Re: Can I PLEASE run 32's on my unlifted TJ?
Well, I have been running 265/75R16 on stock rims and stock suspension on
my TJ for a couple of months and they have not given me any problems.
These tyres would be roughly equivalent to 32x10.50s. We don't have many
rock crawling trails here either (in and around Auckland New Zealand).
Generally here its either sand or clay based tracks, both of which turn
into nice mud tracks very quickly as it rains often. A few spots would
require flexing of the suspension to a great deal, but again no problems so
far.
I do have the suspension lift in my plans, but I need to have it cleared
with my budget and insurance first. On the last few trips on sandy and
clay tracks, there has been no rubbing at all. I am planning on doing some
mountain tracks in the next month, so will find out if there is any rubbing
when the suspension if fully challenged.
If you like, I can email you a photo of my TJ off forum to see what these
tyres look like. What we get in New Zealand are Jeeps specially spec'd for
our country, if that matters at all as far as suspensions are concerned.
Have fun,
TW

my TJ for a couple of months and they have not given me any problems.
Have fun,
TW

Re: Can I PLEASE run 32's on my unlifted TJ?
"4.10 is pretty low"? Real Jeeps run 5.38s.
