Can I PLEASE run 32's on my unlifted TJ?
I'm geared 4.10. I can't afford, financially and maritally, to lift it for a
while, and when I do lift it in a couple years I want to do it "right," not
"cheap". I'm about to get some new tires (Goodyear MT/R's) and 32's would be
just plain peachy with my 4.10 gear ratio. I keep thinking that a 32 is only
a half-inch closer to the fender, etc, than a 31. So that 1/2" makes that much
of a difference? I'll really screw up my TJ with 32's? Even when the sway bar
is not disconnected and I'm not rock crawling, etc?
-jeff (I know, I need to just get the 31's...)

It pretty clear you want bigger tires just for looks. That's cool, but 32s
on a stock TJ are going to look really stupid -- read, no room between the
fenders and the tires. Save your money and get a 2" budget boost (coil
spacer lift) for $200.00 and some change; then the 32s will lokk a whole
lot better.

You will have trouble with the stock backspacing for your wheels with 32s,
also.

Wow, that's one of the greatest things I've ever seen. I looked at 32x10.5's
for my stock '85 CJ7 and after putting them beside the Jeep I realized it
would cause all sorts of problems. I'm pretty sure 31x10.5 would fit but I'm
not sure I want to be that close. What would you guys suggest be the
*optimum* size (I don't want to lift at all right now).
Thanks
