Where I come from, truckers run huge steel grills attached to their truck
frame. After hitting a 1200 lb moose, they usually need to replace
headlight bulbs, etc, and need a squirt with the powerwasher, but they
usually make out ok.

Most people in passenger cars are lucky to be alive after hitting a moose.
I have a friend who is paralyzed from the neck down from a moose accident.
