Re: BFG all terrains
And then there's the one where a squirrel purposely runs in front
of a car, which makes the car swerve to avoid hitting the squirrel. The
squirrel then gives a high five to another squirrel for almost causing
an accident. What a cool way to sell car insurance.

Doens't happen that way here. If it doesn't top the hood I figure it
will go underneath where things are fairly rugged. If it is taller
than the hood, then we gotta find a better idea - quick. I keep
envisioning a full grown moose...

Re: BFG all terrains
I've always been taught not to avoid and animal in the road way,
and I've lost control a couple of times, but didn't crash as many of my
friend have, or at least used that as an excuse.

I think I would put moose, bison, and elephants in the category of
"immovable objects" just from instinct <g>.
I was taught the same thing about dodging animals and it really came
home flying: beheaded one deer on the runway, hit a couple of
critters and birds but, damn, I sure was wishing I had dodged that
skunk I threw up in the nose wheel well!

Re: BFG all terrains
Will,
Couldn't be worse than a crow down an intake. Not a pretty sight, especially
if you have to crawl in there and clean bird guts off the rotors. Most times
we just dropped the engine, sent it to Field maint. and upped a new one.
