Some t-cases will piss out the fluid when you remove the driveshaft.

My CJ for instance has a yoke on the t-case. Some t-cases are wide open
and will empty themselves fast if the hole isn't covered and some others
with some spline ends can pour it out if tipped or when running. The
bad driveshaft sometimes takes out the t-case seal as it vibrates itself
apart, that's wrong, 'most' of the time it does this at the same time
destroying the pinion seal.

Just a heads up to watch the fluids.

I was trying to save myself from uc1tc.9$WD5.22274@news.uswest.net,
but <spamless@microsoft.net> wouldn't let me go...

| Some of us use news readers that let us see the entire thread
| at once and read the previous comments in logical rather than
| chronological order. So unless the news feed is hose up (fairly
| normal unfortenately), there is no real need to leave ANY of
| the previous text in place.
|
| And some of us have been reading NG's so long that we remember
| when going from 14.4 to 28.8 meant you did not have to be so
| fussy on what you snipped off.
|
| And your point is?

Gosh, 14.4K modem, huh. Where were you when 1200 bits a second was
fast?

I have a splined output shaft from the Tcase, I don't see it going
anywhere anytime soon.
