The whole ordeal sounds like a nightmare. Sorry you had to endure the broken
truck twice (once on the way out, and again on the way back).
If UHaul says you could have pulled into any other franchise location along
your route and exchanged the truck, you will be justified in leveling the
building. :-)

If UHaul had given him the truck he contracted for, this whole thing would
have been avoided. Remember, he asked for a suitable truck, and UHaul
switched. You have to remember, they want you to go in several weeks in
advance to reserve a truck, so it isn't like Nate went in and ordered an
underpowered and worn out truck. He could have rejected the truck they gave
him, but then he woud have had to put off his move.

Yeah, the longer she posts, the more I am convinced her
personality difficulties are due to what can be described
as a "tampax wedgie".

wow, i came right through sheridan on my way back! in fact, we tried to
stay at the new motel 6 but they were full so we went up the road to the
trails end motel. i was surprised to see that even in wyoming the hotels
are owned by people from india!
the next morning as we were leaving sheridan i heard something on the radio
about a traffic jam outside of the farm supply store because salt licks were
1/2 off. i couldnt tell if it was some type of joke or not though because i
could barely hear it over the screaming/popping uhaul.

i had missed his original post because i plonked the twit, but for the
record ill say this. if the truck had been "overloaded" as the twit
suggests i would have been flagged at the weigh stations. the truck clearly
said "UNDER 18,000 GROSS" on the fenders where the weight station people
could see it. had i been over that amount they would not have given me the
green light at every weigh station i was required to stop at (south dakota
requires anything over 8000 pounds to be weighed). secondly, the notion of
putting my family in danger is ridiculous. my family was in the cherokee
with my wife. the only riders in the uhaul were myself and our big dumb
(but lovable) dog. :-)
