we used a solus diagnostic scanner (not at an autoparts store either)...the
code was: abs code 30 - pump motor circuit bad. so, the diagnosis was
accurate. looks like i'll just get the CAB remanned and from what i've
learned that will fix the problem.

Dang, that is going to HURT! You might gamble on a salvage yard
unit? Be sure you flush every single line, nook and cranny with
fresh fluid no matter which way you decide to go. I believe Jeep
recommends DOT-4 fluid for the ABS vehicles. That is all I use in
any of my vehicles all the way back to the 60's models, it has a
little higher boiling point and is less absorbant to moisture as well.

not really. i can get the unit remanned for $125.00. jeep want $774.00 for a
new one, so i'll go the remann, flush everything and put new fluid in and see
what happens.
