Re: 97 jeep grand cherokee abs issue

First off, any "real" diagnostic scanner will also tell you what the
code means. If the tech is not using an OTC Genisys or a Snap-On
Solus or Modis, you have wasted your time. I have seen too many
folks let some "Goob" at a parts store hook up their little scanner
and give them false info. Remember one thing about those guys, if
they were good enough to be doing diagnostic work they would not be
working for barely over minimum wage at a parts store.

My recomendation would be to find someone with a real scan tool and
get an accurate diagnostic.

Good Luck, Bruce

Re: 97 jeep grand cherokee abs issue

we used a solus diagnostic scanner (not at an autoparts store either)...the
code was: abs code 30 - pump motor circuit bad. so, the diagnosis was
accurate. looks like i'll just get the CAB remanned and from what i've
learned that will fix the problem.

thanks
