Does your overhead console have a step button that you may setup
the programs checking yes or no?

My overhead has a step but as far as I know it only switches the modes of
the overhead display, I'll have to see if it can turn off the system
somehow.

driver/passenger doors or tailgate.

Fuse 6 (15A) provides power to the module (yours will probably be different)
pulling that fuse might turn off the system.
Aftermarket:
dunno. depends on who made it.
