So do I. But I have seen them short and create a good sized fire.

Well while looking for the fuse I found the problem:
The brake light switch on the brake pedal had 2 sets of wires coming off,
one of them were the crimped connectors to 2 wires coming out of the wiring
harness, had been cut short and were hard to work with. Drove it home and
when I got out the rear lights wouldn't go out. Disconnected the other pair
of wires and they went out. They still work though. What were those 2
wires for?
