So you bought the kit and had someone else put it in? What did that cost?
Im thinking $140 for a re-man unit.

Around 250 dollars canadian to get the dealer to do it.

Re: 84 XJ steering box
The recalculating ***** are not as big a job as they look, the
cover peens easily back in place.
I've temporally fixed many leaks, with a high pressure hose, and
blow whatever particle causing the leak through or out of the seal. A
little gasoline in the process of cleaning will cause older seals to
swell.
