Re: Success!
Well they didn't get the driveshaft done until today but I put it in this
afternoon. The difference is night and day. I don't have any vibrations
anymore at highway speeds, although I don't think I"m gonna drive it over 70
anywhere. It was smooth up to 80 then I let off. Man I'm glad this is
over, thanks again guys.

anymore at highway speeds, although I don't think I"m gonna drive it over 70
anywhere. It was smooth up to 80 then I let off. Man I'm glad this is
over, thanks again guys.

Hi Troy,
Great, thanks for telling us.
I remember you said the constant velocity's centering bearing's
seal ring had come apart, is your slip joint about in the middle of it's
travel at ride height?

Re: Success!
I think it is... I didn't actually pull it all the way out when I took it
out, I just wanted the pro to do it because I've never done this before.
Although having to come out of the pocket with $180 makes me want to learn
how to do all this without having to pay someone. Like when my ball joints
went bad they wanted $600 to replace them, I bought the tools and learned to
do it myself for only $300.
Why do you ask? Do I run the risk of flexing too much and it stretches out
and apart? Hmm, I'll look in the morning.
