Hi Ron,
Rather than take chance on ordering the wrong parts and then have
to ship them back. I think you'll be ahead of the game by disassembling
and then take what you have down your local Mom and Pop parts store
that's been there for eons, like where the Hot Rodders go, to match them
up. Just try and keep the same ten and a half inch disk if that's what
you have for a pressure plate for your wheel.

Well that is what I did the last time (after the conversion) .. and
the problem is that that clutch doesn't work. The disc seems to be
grabbing the pressure plate at all times. (so whatever it is I do it
doesn't seem to release completely. I think the disk is too thick for
the pressure plate.
Maybe there is something wrong with the pessure plate ...and it doesn't
release all the way or so.
point is ..I have a clutch that never really worked right...and I want
to get it over with now. So i want to find out what parts I need...and
know up front that it will work

If it grabs especially in reverse, it's a bad stabilizing mount

that stops the engine form torquing over and releasing the clutch, only
to grab again. Later YJs solved that problem by using hydraulics.

I run 258, bellhousing for a T-150, with a Ford T-19 behind it. I had
the same problem with the clutch disk dragging and discovered that the
pressure plate for a "clutch for a 79 CJ with T150", which uses a disk
for a 10-spine 1 1/16" input shaft, which matches the T-19, has a
slightly different deck height than the pressure plate for later model
Cjs which use a disk for a 10-spline 1 1/8" input shaft. Mixed the
"79" disk with the later model pressure plate and problem solved.
(Drove Advance Adapters and Novak crazy while we were all trying to
figure this out, ironic because the T18/19 conversion is so popular and
one would think both companies would have encountered this before.)
