226 valve job
I'm trying to get the valves back in my 226 jeep engine (1956) I've got
the proper spring compressor, but can't seem to get the valve keepers up in
there and make them stay. It seems like the valve spring gets a little off
center when you compress it. Anyone know a trick to make this simple?

It kind of makes me sick just to think of peering upside down at
it. Chassis grease should sick them in the grove long enough to release
the clamp. You might try magnetizing the valve stem by swiping it with a
magnet, like a screwdriver.
